Comment: The majority of pupils
are usually happy in school, find school work interesting and feel
that they are making progress. Very few indeed are ever bored,
unhappy, worried or feel unsafe in the school. They are happy with the
extra-curricular activities, and feel that the school has a clean and tidy
environment. The vast majority enjoy school lunches in the cafeteria,
very much value the free choice of being able to choose cans, but do not
very often
choose cans as their favoured drink.

Comment: Overall, the overview of
the school by pupils is generally very positive. The change in school
uniform guidelines to allow girls to opt for either skirts or trousers has
been very well received, and the introduction of a Pupil Council has been
another important innovation. Finally, school trips are perceived as
great successes, and the pupils are looking forward enthusiastically towards
the new Spòrsnis Centre.
The 76 pupils have spoken ....... and here
are some of their individual comments:
"The
playgrounds are really fun and big"
"The Games Room at break and the Common Room are great on windy days"
"More PE"
"No menus"
"I also think that there should be Irn-Bru cans in the canteen even
though they are not healthy"
"There should be more play time"
"There should be more things to do at break instead of the Games Room,
computers or badminton because not all people like these things"
"No menus"
"There should be more of a choice for lunch, and pupils should be able
to get into the Games Room without supervision"
"I think the Primary pupils should have somewhere to be on a rainy day
like a Common Room because the Secondary pupils have one"
"The goals on the football pitch have no nets and they should have"
"If candidates for the Pupil Council have already run, they should not
be allowed again ......"
"I think we should have lockers"
"I think in the cafeteria we should get bigger portions ...."
"School should be less boring and should be more exciting and we should
be able to ride bikes, skateboards and skates at the interval" |
